  1. Tell someone you trust if you need help.
  2. Go to the toilet or changing area.
  3. Change your period product and underwear or kit if you can.
  4. Put any wet or stained clothing in a small bag to take home.

Can I make leaks less likely?

You can check your product before training or a match, carry spares, and learn how often your own product usually needs changing. Some people choose period pants as their main product or as extra reassurance, depending on the product instructions and their flow.

Very heavy bleeding that means you regularly need to change a pad or tampon every 1 to 2 hours, bleed through clothes or bedding, or avoid normal activities should be discussed with a trusted adult and a GP or healthcare professional.
